The Startup Journey can be challenging. With philosophy and strategy and after several years in business and starting out my ventures with AceApp & Airpal Technology, I thought I’d share my journey of self mastery and to show others how to start their business.

1. The Self

It is about the ‘I’

1. Self Awareness

2. Self Control

3. Self Care

4. Self Conduct

5. Self Esteem

6. Self Story

The Self is the only thing we have direct control over; to master it, which is no easy task, it is to master your entire world. ‘Those who cannot establish dominion over themselves will have no dominion over others’

2. The Story

1. ‘Everything that stands in your way is a human.’

2. Stories are the single most powerful weapon.

3. The currency of humanity.

4. Those who tell captivating stories rule the world.

We are beautiful things, wild things, searching for brilliance within us. We must face the storm head-on embracing the emotions. It’s undeniable how unexpectedly pain can find it’s way to us.

Even though we wish to avoid it, it’s a part of our journey deeply etched in our essence, and mirrored in the experiences of others.

It’s the silent feeling that binds us, transcending language and origins. We’re all destined to overcome our challenges, heal from them and emerge with great vigor.

These trials are our pathway to growth, understanding, care and compassion with the profound lessons of strength, honour, forgiveness and acceptance.

Through justice and freedom, with the unity of the lessons of love and peace, we may all be enlightened by life and its affection.

Remember you’re not alone. There are others and I with you experiencing every emotion and clarity will dawn.

What’s meant for you will find you and it will mend every fractured piece of your being and bring everything back home.

Introduction

I wrote this for you and I.

I crafted it only with the intention that only we would read it. This is what you’ve been searching for. We are all in search for meaning and of a sign, be it a symbol or a message. Whether it be from above or within, we desire answers, a hint of truth for guidance to point us in the right direction.

When someone tries to bring you down or hurts you, it’s a common reaction to want to hurt them back in return. However, before acting with that feeling, try take a step back from that moment. Aim to consider what their life may be like. Consider broadening you’re consciousness awareness in that moment.

Ask yourself if you’d like to be in their position or think and act the way they do. If you’re happy with your life and they hurt you, it usually means this person envy’s your life. If you wouldn’t want to be them, it’s best to find peace by wishing them well and hoping they find peace themselves.

Their jealousy of your life and being are insecurities they have. Once you can acknowledge this, you have power over them and yourself.

It is in this realisation you can have empathy for their position and instead of seeking revenge, find solitude in knowing you are better off without them in  your life.

Walk away until you can find people that can enjoy your company and have similar values.

The more you love yourself and give yourself what you need in life, the less you’ll be seeking from others.

Because of this, I prefer to keep my circle small only with those who bring joy and who are genuine. Surrounding yourself with people with joy and genuine care are the people you want to surround myself with.

True peace comes from the awareness that we have the choice to avoid situations and people that can bring us down. These are not people we should surround ourselves with.

We reciprocate others energy when we’re close to others. Divinely we all strive to find peace in ourselves and our environment. When negativity arises, it is best to take the other route. Just like a crossroads, we have the power to choose.

The power to choose our direction in life can bring us to higher more enlightening experiences if we choose our values.

Being patient while working on your goals, objectives and mission can lead to amazing things and experiences.

In my strategies for objectives, I use the Propel Model

P – Plan

R – Research

O – Objectives

P – Prepare

E – Excetute

L – Learn

Believing that the universe has a plan for you, you’ll find out that good opportunities are in store for you. Good things happen to those who wait and act on the plan to achieve in life.

3. How to Lead

I practice what I teach as a professor for life.

I have great hunger to lead on innovative problem -solving projects. To me, it is about first understanding my values.

  1. Peace

  2. Love

  3. Unity

  4. Justice

  5. Freedom

  6. Care

  7. Compassion

  8. Strength

  9. Honour

  10. Forgiveness

  11. Acceptance

As I call these values out with each finger of my hands, I close my hands at acceptance in a prayer position. This helps ease any problem I have when it comes to my mind.

Leadership is life’s sport, we can at least be the best version of who we are. If we can focus on the practical skills of leadership, we can use the I.P.A model.

• I – Idea

• P – People

• A – Action (Making it happen)

One ingredient is paramount through all of this and that is mindset. Having the right mindset for everyone involved makes it an organisation of leadership.

  1. Creative

  2. Visionary

  3. Motivational

  4. Directing

  5. Disciplined

  6. Detailed

  7. Commanding

  8. Empowering

5. Philosophy

In business, sport and academia, an individual’s personal philosophy are the biggest indicator and predictor of what they’ll achieve now and in the future. Both personal and professional philosophies can lead to greatness.

Your philosophy is a set of beliefs, values, principles and story for life guides your steps everyday life from your vision, which underpins your actions.

6. Team

The definition of the word company is a group of people aligned with the same leadership style and philosophy.

Everything an organisation produces, goods or services originates from the minds of a group of people working together on a shared goal, objective, mission, vision and purpose with collaboration.

7. Action & Learning

If you want to learn something, read it. If you want to understand something, write about it.

If you want to master something, teach it.

Being able to simplify an idea and successfully share it with others is both the path to understand it and the proof that you do.

Start with ‘Why’

1. What you know (Your knowledge)

2. How do you know (Source)

3. What can you do (Your skills)

4. What problems are you solving

5. Who do you know (Network)

6. What can you create (Development)

7. What do you have (Money)

8. What the world thinks of you (Perception)

8. Leadership

Leadership is about taking people where they would not have got by themselves. Change is at the heart of leadership. A leader will make a difference by changing how things work and moving towards a new perfect future.

Change is about progress and prosperity: New Technologies and greater efficiencies that link and prosper the global economy.

If you want to make a real change, you will face real resistance. The greater the change, the greater the passive and active resistance becomes. Change means personal change and that makes the change process highly emotional.

If you want to make change work, you have to manage the change process on 5 levels:

P.R.E.O.S Model

1. Political

2. Rational

3. Emotional

4. Organisational

5. Strategic

Change implies uncertainty and risk and that’s why most sane people do not enjoy change. Change is dominated by the F.UD factor.

F. – Fear

U – Uncertainty

D – Doubt

As a leader, your crucial role is to make sure that change is setup for success, not failure.

To overcome the F.U.D Factor, one simple formula has been successful

V + N + C + F ≥ R

C - Capacity for change

F - Fear

Life Lessons Through Self-Mastery

Self-mastery is not just about controlling your habits, emotions, and thoughts—it’s about embracing life with courage, resilience, and strategy. Every moment is an opportunity to bet on yourself, to take risks, and to grow stronger. Challenges may arise, but they are part of the journey that shapes you into a more empowered version of yourself.

“Life is like a game of poker: you win some, you lose some, but sometimes it’s about going all in.”

This quote reminds us that life rewards the bold. While it’s important to play strategically, there are moments when taking a leap of faith and going all in is the only way to truly achieve greatness. Success doesn’t always come from having the best hand—it comes from how you play the game, the risks you take, and the confidence you hold in yourself.
